Elly Wilson

Elly's interest in drawing and painting began at an early age.,  She completed a 4-year commercial art program at Northern Secondary High School in Toronto and a one-year program at the Ontario College of Art.  After 21 years in Canada Post Payroll Operations, she was offered a buy-out package.  With no hesitation, Elly took the package, retired, and moved to Bobcaygeon.  Here she rediscovered her enjoyment in painting and joined the Thursday morning art class at the Kawartha Settler's Village.  Elly has also participated in workshops offered by Chuck Burns, Zoltan Szabo, Gordon MacKenzie, Sterling Edwards, Art Cunanan, Marilyn Mercer, Richard Hayman, and Margaret Roseman.

Ellly has entered her work at the Lindsay Art Gallery Juried Show, the Bobcaygeon Arts Council Juried Show, the Buckhorn Wildlife Arts Festival, and the Kawartha Arts Festival, and has received awards.  Elly has contributed paintings to community fundraising events, the Art School of Peterborough, Bobcaygeon Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, and the UEL.  She also has work in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, Wales, and the Middle East.
